THE SHALIMAR BIRDS AVIARY
My name is Waseem Anwar I am now 35 years old. I running my own business with name of Shalimar Industries am enjoying a life of pursuing my many hobbies, the main one being the Keeping, Breeding and Showing of Exhibition Quality Budgerigars. I started to keep budgies in 2005 with my other birds like cockatiel, Grey Parrots, Alexandrine and some other types it was not long before the most of my old birds were sold off and the budgies had taken over.
The Budgie bug had bitten.
It was a couple of years later that I started to introduce modern line from Europe of exhibition birds from Gerlad Binks, Wick Watts and Han Shrijver.
I was working for many years as PRO with Cage Bird Society of Pakistan and I joined the Budgerigar Society of Pakistan in 2010 and was at this time that I started to exhibit my birds. I try to support most of the area shows and often show at the Budgerigar Society club show.
I am a active member of Cage Bird Society of Pakistan where I am currently the Public Relation officer and senior members Budgerigar Society of Pakistan.
In 2011 after winning some major awards at show bench I decided to design and upload my own website to share with world.
My favourite colours are Normal Greygreen, Spangles, Violet, Cobalt, and Skyblue in the Normal, Yellow Face and Pied varieties, although I do keep a few quality Cinnamon, Opalines, Ino's and Clearodies.
